Not draining
Water left in the drum usually means a blocked drain filter or hose, or a drain pump that has worn out.

Not spinning
Often an unbalanced load or a drain fault. On older machines, a worn belt or motor brushes.

Leaking
Most leaks come from a torn door seal, a loose hose or a cracked pump housing.

Won’t start or fill
A faulty door lock, a closed tap, a blocked inlet filter or a failed inlet valve.

Shaking and banging
Worn shock absorbers, a loose counterweight or failing drum bearings.

Smells bad
Lint and detergent build up in the pump, seal and drawer. A proper strip-clean fixes it.
